The staff reported. on 1-02-09 at 10 P.M in the school campus . After distribution of student’s coach wise, the students were deported on Railway Station in two trips by the school bus. After receiving the best wishes for our journey from our Principal, we marched of to occupy our positions on platform no.1 The Kurla-Coimbotore Express arrived at 1.47 A.M and departed taking us at 2.00 A.M.
DAY – ONE 03-02-09
SIGHT SEEING AT BENGALURU
Keeping in mind the objective of our visit to Bengaluru it was decided to visit Lal –Baug and Vishvesherayya Industrial and Technical Museum.On the way the organizers aquainted us with Bangalore by showing us Chinnaswamy stadium, Mallaya Estate, palaces and temples.
LAL BAUG :
It is a Botanical Garden with many beautiful ornamental plants .The replica of Crystal Palace in United Kingdom in the center is the most crowded place in the garden. Among the trees,the tallest has been named as Amitabh Bacchan and a dwarf as Jaya Bacchan The highest place of this city is situated in this garden, a temple has been constructed for God to bless and keep watch on the city. It has a statue of King Vyadyar, beneath the statue is Floral clock with 7 dolls.
VISHVESHARIYA INDUSTRIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL MUSEUM
The science and technology is made to understand by using principle learning by doing.
The museum has four compartments:
First Compartment is on the ground floor with huge moving model of DINOSAUR and MACHINES in action. The working models of simple machines like screw, lever and pulley prepared the students to understand complicated engines of railway. The students understood the mystery of water from tap without pipeline, the experiment defying the gravity in fun with science on first floor. The seond compartment had exhibits to explain Biotechnology and space science. In space science section, the models of Bhaskaracharya , Aryabhat , Rohini and Apple are displayed. The information about Chandrayana and Kalpana Chawla was interesting. The last compartment with electronic bell ,clapping switch, electronic counter, chip manufacture, barcode reader was enchanting.
After these four exciting hours we took our meals and started for four hours journey towards Mysore city
SIGHT SEEING AT OOTY
We started our journey at 7.00 A.M. watching Telgu movie Panni in bus. Suddenly our bus slowed down and we sighted a beautiful peacock in the jungle of Bandipur. The bus was moving through narrow strip with different types of huge trees and animals on either side and we were in the famous Madhumalaya jungles of Tamil nadu. Next half an hour we were in company of monkeys peacocks , elephants and deers .After a hault in restaurant we started climbing the Nilgiri Ghats with not only tall nilgiri trees , but also tree plantation on the mountain slopes. After along time we experienced pin drop silence in the jungles and mountains to discover our lost self. We reached Ooty after an exciting and thrilling journey of six hours. We understood the Botanical Garden and enjoyed boating at Ooty lake.
BOTANICAL GARDEN
We discovered the garden with the help of Canadian teacher Mr.DANIAL TANGUAY , he also gave us information about maple tree and maple syrup in Canada. The garden is oldest with huge trees a sold as 100 years . The Italian Garden and cactus house were most beautiful .The lotus of two varieties in the artificial lake with pink and yellow colour are well maintained. The green lawns are spread through out the garden for visitors to play and rest.
Ooty Lake
After a swift and heavy day the organizer took us for boating in the lake .The trees surrounding the lake made cold air chiller and birds on the floating twigs reminded us its time to go to Mysore.
DAY 3 - MYSORE SIGHT SEEING
In the morning session we visited Chamendeswari Temple, Nandi and Zoo.
The temple is situated on hill 1069 m high. While climbing the Ghat our bus was stopped to view the Mysore city. After standing in long queue we took darshan of Devi and proceeded to worship Nandi on the other side of hill.
The students sneaked for marketing in the campus of temple deceiving us. The international zoo of Mysore is collection of rare birds and animals.Tapir,water monster lizard, Gorilla, Zebra ,Giraffe,Leapord, Tiger Elephant,Hippo, Rhino, etc. were active and healthy. The most thrilling experience was walking through nocturnal House and snake house.
In the evening session we visited Sri Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery in Jagmohan Palace and Vrundavan Garden.The art Gallerry has collection of instruments , paintings ,models, photographs and objects belonging to Kings.The most appealing instrument is French musical musical calander. The painting “Glow of Happiness” by Raja Ravi Verma is a master piece.Models of Meenakshi Temple, Benaras Temple in stone and Mysore palace in marble are beautiful.Guns, daggers, small cannons, silver monuments are also exhibited.
Just few minutes before the sunset we reached the Vrundavan. The garden seem to be bathing in light yellow cool rays and small stream of water flowing through the middle of garden. After the sunset the garden was illuminated step by step with beautiful combination of coloured lights.The musical fountain show was enjoyed by the students. The organizers of the tour were impressed by the discipline of the students in the crowded garden. All 112 students marched in files the path of 2Km.to reach the bus.
We reached our hall at 9 P.M. for relishing delicious dinner.After the dinner we went in each dormitory for routine inspection along with organizers and instructed the students about program to be followed next day. After hectic but jolly day we all retired for asound sleep.
DAY 4 - MYSORE SIGHT SEEING
On the second day of Mysore sight seeing we visited the famous Mysore Palce and Srirangpattanam.

The Mysore Palace also known as Laxmi Vilas Palace has two parts . One part was used as resisedence by the kings and other part for the administration of kingdom.The Pooja hall had eight gods for worshipping.The gold Ambari used by the king and the furniture used are displayed . The Palace is result of fine combination of architeture of hindus, moghuls, and English.Dewane-Aam Public Hall is made with teak work and Dewane-Khas is decorated with gold. The ouil paintings by Subraniam during 1935-45 are very attractive.
In Srirangpattnam we visited summer palace of Tipu Sultan and Gumbaz containing tombs of Tipu Sultan and his parents.
The role of Suyog Shah, Umesh Joshi,Hemant Patankar, Rajesh Gokhale, Pankaj Patil, Prassana Pande from Bhagyashri travel was very crucial in arranging this tour.They provided us comfortable accommodation, delicious hot food and very good transportation.They guided us by giving informationn about the sights and making this tour beneficial for students and teachers educationally.
